Highlights

Pioneer's varsity team placed 9th out of 25 teams at the Jackson Invitational. For the second week in a row, the top finisher was Matt Johnson. Matt ran 16:47 for 18th place. Congratulations to Matt for cracking the 17 minute barrier for the first time.

Once again the team showed improvement. The first 5 Pioneer runners finished in 17:44 or less. Although some runners are injured, other continue to step forward to take their place. An excellent performance was turned in by Eric Ford-Holevinski. His time, 17:35, was a new personal record by 40 seconds. Loren Kimeldorf recorded a personal best for the third consecutive week.

Matt MacVey led the way for the junior varsity team. Matt finished 4th overall, in 18:37, a new personal record. Both Nick Wilkenson and Pat Cullip improved their personal records by more than one minute. Personal records were also acheived by Jon Moler, Tom Giltrow, Tom Bagwell, Bill Weber and Josh Salvner.
